Icicle Arts Gallery presents Birds Take Flight – A Student Art Exhibit
Friday, May 7 through Friday, May 28 at Icicle Arts Gallery. Icicle Arts will present a free art exhibit in our gallery at Barn Beach Reserve, featuring work by After School Arts Program students and Icicle River Middle School art students. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment.

Icicle Arts presents Music, Magic, & Masterpieces
Friday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Barn Beach Reserve, this showcase features After School Arts Program students, Cascade High School’s Dance Team, Steinway and Sony Masterworks artist Andrew T. Miller with Seattle-area musical theater artists Sandy Fedasch, Roy Wilson, John B. Cooper, Holly Chase, Emily Dale, and Haley Rathburn, and award-winning Seattle-area magician Bruce Meyers. Icicle Arts presents A Create Your Own Bird Whistle Workshop
Saturday, May 15, Icicle Arts staff members Castilia Cava and Jessica Jones invite students of ALL ages to learn to make flute-like instruments called ocarinas, and ceramic bird call whistles! This family-friendly workshop takes place from 12-4pm at Barn Beach Reserve in the sun room. $10 per person includes supplies. Maximum enrollment 30 people. Songbird Music & Dance Concert at Canyon Wren
Sunday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m., at Icicle Creek Music Center’s Canyon Wren Recital Hall. Icicle Arts and Icicle Creek Music Center present the Birdsong Music and Dance Concert, featuring the Icicle Creek Piano Trio, Icicle Creek Young Artists, Marlin Handbell Ringers, and local guest dancers. Enjoy classical favorites such as The Swan from Camille Saint-Saëns Carnival of Animals, brought to life by Michel Fokine’s stunning choreography originally debuted by ballerina Anna Pavlova in 1905. Icicle Arts presents free performances at the Gazebo from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, in Celebration of Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest
12:00- Academy of Dance and Performing Arts (ADPA)
ADPA’s advanced dancers will present solo and small-group selections. ADPA is located in downtown Wenatchee and offers professional dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Hip-hop to students ranging from age three through adult.
12:30p – The Magic of Bruce Meyers
Award-winning Seattle-area magician Bruce Meyers, along with his magical birds, astounds and baffles in uniquely comical performances celebrated throughout the Pacific Northwest. Come see why he was awarded "2006 Magician of The Year" as well as the "John D. Pomeroy Performance of Excellence” award.
1p – Mission Improv
Gretchen Bevis, Linda Michael, Budd Gilyard, Adam Eagle, and Cam Sherman will perform improvisational comedy based on audience suggestions and participation. Mission Improv LLC is a Wenatchee-based improvisational comedy troupe that does free public workshops every Wednesday at the Riverside Playhouse. They offer public shows and private corporate workshops on teamwork and creativity in the workplace.

2:30 – Edelweiss Dance Acadamie
Edelweiss Dance Acadamie has been offering dance instruction in Leavenworth since 1997 under the instruction of Briar Hoper. Students perform in the annual Nutcracker as well as a spring recital. Performances will include excerpts from their upcoming Spring Recital.
